Valley Transit provides safe and reliable public transportation to the many communities that comprise the Fox Cities. Our service area covers 117 square miles and serves of a population of 233,947.

Whether you’re in Appleton, Buchanan, Grand Chute, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Menasha, Fox Crossing, or Neenah, you can use Valley Transit to get where you need to go.

Transit Development Plan

Valley Transit undertakes a short-term planning process approximately every 5 years to reevalute goals and programs to ultimately improve services. This process results in a Transit Development Plan, which is used to guide decision-making. Below is a link to the current plan.

Fox Cities Transit Commission

The Fox Cities Transit Commission (FCTC) provides overall supervision of the operation and maintenance of the transit system. FCTC is made up of members from the City of Appleton – two citizen members and two aldermanic members, with additional members to be made up of representatives of municipalities and counties that provide local funding for Valley Transit.

FCTC reports to the Appleton Common Council and is part of the City of Appleton’s organizational structure.

The Fox Cities Transit Commission meets on the SECOND and FOURTH TUESDAY each month at 3:00 p.m. at Appleton City Hall in Committee Room 6A. Meetings are sometimes canceled due to lack of agenda items.
