Advertising Opportunities

Valley Transit offers you great exposure and advertising results with interior and exterior advertising opportunities on buses. Bus ads are mobile billboards that reach thousands of people throughout the Fox Cities.

Each Valley Transit bus offers many ad size and pricing option for vinyl ads, so you can choose the space that best meets your needs. Valley Transit also offers advertisers the opportunity to make a really big splash by wrapping the entire bus.

Terms & Policies: Valley Transit reserves the right to reject any ad it deems inappropriate. Ads for tobacco, alcohol, religion, political candidates, and political issues will not be accepted. In addition, Valley Transit will not accept ads of a sexual or suggestive nature.

DBE Program

Valley Transit has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. Valley Transit has received Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, Valley Transit has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.

It is the policy of Valley Transit to ensure that DBEs are defined in part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT–assisted contracts. It is also our policy:

  1. To ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of DOT – assisted contracts;
  2. To create a level playing field on which DBEs can compete fairly for DOT-assisted contracts;
  3. To ensure that the DBE Program is narrowly tailored in accordance with applicable law;
  4. To ensure that only firms that fully meet 49 CFR Part 26 eligibility standards are permitted to participate as DBEs;
  5. To help remove barriers to the participation of DBEs in DOT assisted contracts;
  6. To assist the development of firms that can compete successfully in the market place outside the DBE

Open Data & GTFS

Valley Transit strives to make transit data developer-friendly and open when possible.

The City of Appleton currently maintains Valley Transit’s General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) data. Route and bus stop data is maintained/edited within ArcMap software. Calendar, fare, transfer and other data is manually edited. Valley Transit’s current GTFS data can be downloaded at: http://GIS.APPLETON.ORG
